Wayne Wong, D.D.S.
Dr. Wayne Wong was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, the last of nine children. After moving to California, he obtained his Bachelor's degree in Zoology and a minor in Chemistry at the California State University, Los Angeles. He received his dental degree at the University of Southern California in 1980, where he was the recipient of the award for the Number One Clinical Operator in his class of 120 students.
Dr. Wong was a Clinical Assistant Professor at the U.S.C. School of Dentistry until 1989. His subjects included operative dentistry (crowns and fillings), emergency dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and for five years, he was an instructor for the California State Dental Board.
In 1998, Dr. Wong was one of fourteen California dentists who were awarded a Fellowship in the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Additionally, he was one of 105 dentists from the United States to be awarded a Fellowship in the Academy of Dentistry International. Both appointments were honors of recognition by his peers.

Dr. Wong has been married to Stacey for 32 years and together they have two children. Their son Donnie, was an Eagle Scout, received his Bachelors in Biology from UCI and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from USC . Their daughter Kristi received her Bachelors in Psychology from UCI and her Master's and Psy-D from Nova South Eastern University. She is a hula dancer as well.
Maria Ascencio, R.D.H.
Maria has been a dental hygienist for 30 years and has enjoyed treating patients in Dr. Wong's office since 1993. Maria is married and has two daughters. She enjoys spending time camping with her family, walking with her dog and being outdoors.
Kristin Jones, R.D.H.
Kristin has been working in dentistry for 6 years now. She graduated from Cypress College with her AS in Dental Hygiene in May of 2016 and started working for Dr. Wong in October of 2016. Kristin is newly married to her incredible husband Dane. Together they live in Anaheim and are so excited to start their new life journey together.
Lauren Dandurand, R.D.H.
Lauren joined Dr. Wong's practice in September 2022. She graduated from Cypress College with her AS in Dental Hygiene in 2019 and also has a BA in Liberal Studies from Cal State Fullerton. In her free time, Lauren loves cooking, traveling and going to Angel games.
Paulla Searight - Office Administration
Paulla has been a long time part of Dr. Wong's office. Paulla has made her home with her husband Bill and their three daughters in La Mirada for more than 30 years. Paulla takes pride in the relationships that she's developed with our patients and is always interested hearing about the latest family events and travels.
Jessica Torres , Office Administration
Jessica has been working in dentistry for 10 years now and has been part of Dr. Wong's office since July 2016. She loves helping her patients understand their dental plans to the fullest. When she's not in the office she enjoys gardening with her husband Jose, watching her son play baseball and taking long walks with her dogs.
Sandy Perez , Office Administration, D.A
Sandy graduated in 2006 as a Dental Assistant and has been working with Dr. Wong since February of 2018. She enjoys working with people and helping them out. She has three beautiful adult children and two grandchildren, which she loves to spend quality time with. On her time off she enjoys outdoor activities, watching sports and a good movie.
Sierra Everett , R.D.A
Sierra has worked in dentistry for 11 years. She started working with Dr. Wong in February of 2020. She enjoys getting to know the patients in the office and assisting with their treatment. On her days off, she loves to spend time with friends and family, cuddle with her cat and play video games.
